Apply for a Paraprofessional Position

Suppose you are applying for a Paraprofessional job. In that case, The eligibility requirements for Paraprofessional positions include a minimum of an Associate’s or higher degree (any subject that has been that was completed with a C or better) OR complete two years of college-level coursework (60 semester hours, with an average of C or better) OR hold a high school diploma or GED, and also successfully pass an exam called the GACE Paraprofessional Test.

  • External applicants must provide at least two professional references from the most recent administrators and a principal.
  • Internal applicants must provide one professional reference completed by their current principal.
  • Resumes must be sent in.
  • Successful completion of the assessment on the Web.
  • The applicant must submit official transcripts, including a degree declaration and the date that the degree was awarded by all the institutions they attended. Internal applicants do not have to submit official transcripts already stored for Human Resources and Talent Management.
  • The applicant must have or be eligible for an official Educational Leadership certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC). Applicants holding professional educator certificates/licenses issued in another state, the District of Columbia, a U.S. territory, the Department of Defense Dependent Schools, or the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards must submit copies of the front and back certificates/licenses.

All Positions – Supervisory References Follow-up

The application online is managed by the applicant. Make sure that your supervisory references are “complete” within your application.

  • If you’re currently a teacher present, Please ensure that you have the most recent principal reference, as well as another reference from an Assistant Director or Department Head.
  • If you are currently teaching and recently graduated, We require an official reference from your professor and your supervisor from the university.
