If you’re ready to activate your WestJet card, then you can do so in one of the following ways.
WestJet Credit Card Rewards
- Get 50 welcome WestJet dollars with your first purchase
- Earn 1% in WestJet dollars for every qualifying purchase you make on your card
- Earn 1.5% in WestJet dollars when you buy WestJet flights or WestJet Vacations packages using your card
The RBC Mobile App of WestJet Credit Card
If you are an RBC mobile app user, you can activate your new card from the Accounts. Choose the Activate Now option and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. If given a choice for enrolling in Balance Protector Premiere, you have the opportunity to decline.
Online Banking
If you can access RBC online banking, sign in to your account. The new credit card will appear on your Accounts Summary Page. Choosing this option will take you to the Account Details page, which provides an activation option. Then follow the prompts until your card is ready to use.

If you don’t have access to the app or online banking, you can go to the activation website for new cardholders for your WestJet credit card. You will then receive the option to sign up for online access at that time. You don’t need to have an active enrollment in online banking to take advantage of this option, and you’ll need to follow the on-screen prompts until you have completed the process.
How to Activate a WestJet credit card By Phone
When your preference is to activate your WestJet card over the phone, you can call 1 (877) 900-5900. If you have a private banking with this branding, you will need to call 1 (888) 769-2597 instead.
Once your new WestJet card from RBC is activated, you’ll want to sign the back of it immediately.
If this card replaces an older credit card, you will want to destroy the deactivated one to protect your account information and identity.
You also have the option to activate a closed or canceled credit card from RBC potentially. If you find yourself in that situation, you must contact the lender by phone directly. The number for this option is 1 (800) 769-2512.
